Who we are?
Sew So Fresh, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through hands-on sewing education, textile artistry, and workforce development, bridging creative expression with practical career readiness. The organization utilizes industry-informed instruction in garment construction, styling, and entrepreneurship to foster discipline, confidence, and leadership skills.
Why we do this?
Traditional classrooms often miss the unique talents of creative students. We operate at the intersection of fashion education and career readiness to bridge the gap between creative passion and economic opportunity. Through hands-on training, youth naturally build critical 21st-century skills—like problem-solving, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset—preparing them for sustainable careers and a lifetime of leadership.

To inspire a confident, innovative generation by making sewing, design, and holistic education accessible to all youth. We envision a world where every child has the hands-on tools, knowledge, and creative freedom to build a future rooted in equity, sustainability, and self-expression.

Jerri Reid is a Brooklyn-based, self-taught designer, Creative Director, and Founder dedicated to representing diverse communities. His extensive behind-the-scenes fashion experience includes working at prestigious events like the MTV VMAs and New York Fashion Week, as well as supporting top designers like Jason Wu and Moshood. Jerri's work has been featured online in Essence Magazine and proudly showcased on iconic figures such as Lynn Whitfield and Stevie Wonder.
